On March 26th, Emerson in Shakopee partnered with SWE-MN to host this year’s Spring Seminar. Attendees had ample opportunity to build their network with around 75 guests in attendance from over 30 Twin Cities companies and colleges. The morning opened with a Keynote Presentation from Emerson’s own Yetta Kuhn, VP of Pressure Operations sharing her own personal leadership success factors. Guests were able to attend 3 sessions throughout the course of the day targeted to their experience level ranging from collegiate to 10+ years in the industry. Sessions varied in topics from “SWE Advocacy and Government Involvement” from Past SWE President Elizabeth Bierman to “Solving Presentations: An Engineering Approach to Presentations Design and Delivery” and “Career Jungle Gym”. The day closed out with a Happy Hour at near-by Badger Hill Brewing. We would like to thank all of the speakers who donated their Saturday to come share their expertise with SWE-MN! A huge thank you to our amazing sponsor Emerson for partnering with us for the event!
